2007: A Day with Erna Furman (24 min)

Documentary about Erna Popper-Furman (1926 – 2002), Friedl Dicker-Brandeis pupil in Terezin camp, later outstanding psychoanalyst in the US. (Note: Made as CD, accompanying the book “Ways of Growing Up” (see Publications).


2004 – 2005 (ongoing): The Catcher of the Clouds (54 min)

Documentary film about life and art of an Israeli, Moravia-born painter P.B.Mayer (1906-2002) and his best friend, cartoonist Fritz Händel (1910-1945). The story embraces prewar time in Czechoslovakia, Jewish refugees' escape from Nazi Europe in 1939-1940, arriving in Israel and forceful detainment at Mauritius Island till 1945, then Beda's re-aliya to Palestine-Israel, and his Israeli life and artistic activities. Producer: Reforma Film, Prague.


2002: Friedl Dicker-Brandeis: Artist Against Destruction (4 short films)

Films about outstanding Jewish artist and pedagogue Friedl Dicker-Brandeis (1898-1944), teacher in KZ Terezin. Production of Wiesenthal Center, LA.


2001: Long Live Life! Or Dance Around the Skeleton (23 min)

Script and directing of a documentary about cabaret in KZ Terezin in WW2. Production: VGK Company, Tel Aviv. Shown at exhibitions and on Moscow Education TV Channel (2001).


2001: Ladies in a Car (22 min)

Script and directing of a documentary: Two old women, friends of Friedl Dicker-Brandeis, recall her, while traveling to her exhibition at Bauhaus Museum, Berlin. The title of the movie is after one of the best Friedl’s pictures. Production: VGK Company, Tel Aviv. Shown at exhibitions in Jerusalem and Moscow and on Moscow Education TV Channel (2001).


1999: Discovering Friedl (16 min)

A documentary video by Elena and members of her team on how they were traveling around the world in search of Friedl Dicker-Brandeis' heritage, visiting survived students, friends, holders of her pictures. Production "Fischer Film", Vienna.


1996 – 1997: What Fire Can't Burn (54 min)

Israeli 'docudrama' film (A Theresienstadt KZ survivor recollects her life and love in the camp...) The film received two awards at major documentary film festivals in the US . VGK (Tel Aviv) and Israeli Film Production (Jerusalem) companies. Research, consulting, script.


1994 – 1996: These Days in Terezin (120 min)

German-Czech documentary film, on Terezin cabaret director and artist Karel Svenk, Oxen Film, Berlin . Research, consulting, script writing, co-directing and acting.


1994 – 1995: Black and White Is Full of Colors (52 min)

Israeli-Czech documentary film, about Terezin art-teacher and artist Friedl Dicker-Brandeis. In cooperation with Argo Film, Tel Aviv. Research, consulting, script writing and acting.


1994 – 1995: Goethe and the Ghetto (56 min)
Swedish documentary film about Terezin composer Viktor Ullmann, director Peter Berggren and producer Goeran Rosenberg (Moderna Tiders Foerlag AB). Research and consulting.


1991: The Children Of Terezin (56 min)
NHK Co. (Japan) documentary film, on Terezin children's drawings, director Takashi Nishimura. Research, art consultancy and acting.
